Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?
Once you click on sign up your personal dating coach will reach out to you for a chat. During this conversation, we will discuss the various packages we offer and help determine which one best suits your needs. Once you’ve selected your package, your dating coach will arrange a time to meet with you in person. This meeting will give us the chance to get to know you better, understand what you’re looking for in a partner, and tailor your search accordingly.

Does everyone qualify?
Unfortunately no. Not everyone qualifies. This will be discussed in the initial consultation. As we would love to match everyone sometimes that’s not possible. Depending what you are after and who we have on our books. Sometimes it doesn’t always match up.

Is there a fee involved?
Yes. You are an investment. The fee varies depending what package you choose. Meeting a partner could be worth its weight in gold.

When can I expect to meet my first match?
Within the first two months you will be given your first match. We need to find the right person for you. We don’t want to waste your time or have any members go on dates merely to fulfil a membership.

Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we don’t do refunds.

Do I have to be single?
Yes, Matchmaker & Co only work with individuals who are single and looking for a monogamous long-term relationship. One of our requirements is to be clear of any past relationships or marriages and not living with a partner. Also you must be separated from a marriage or at least a minimum of six months.

What happens if I meet someone before the membership is up?
We understand that you may fall in love before the membership is over. In this scenario you can put your membership on hold for six months and after that it would be cancelled.

Can I ask for a phone number on the date?
We ask that no phone numbers are exchanged during the date. This policy helps ensure there’s no pressure and allows both parties to simply enjoy the date without any distractions. If you feel a connection and would like to continue the conversation, your dating coach can help facilitate the exchange of contact information the following day. This allows the process to be handled smoothly and comfortably for both parties.

Who pays for the activity or dinner?
The individuals on the date are responsible for covering the cost of their own dinner or activity. You are welcome to split the bill if both parties agree. The dating coach’s role is to facilitate the booking and arrange the logistics, but they do not cover the costs of the date itself.

Do you have to be a member to go on dates?
Yes

What’s the difference between a dating app and a Matchmaker subscription?
Dating apps offer autonomy and a wider pool of matches, scammers and time wasters, whilst Matchmaker & Co provides a more tailored and hands-on approach to finding an authentic partner tailored to your preferences, values and goals.
